This Saturday, I am going to see Mates of State and the Black Kids at the 9:30 Club. As always, NPR is streaming the concert live so you can hear it too! The first time I saw the Black Kids was last year when they opened for Cut Copy at the Black Cat and they had me at the first song. Granted the beer helped that out a bit. If you haven't checked them out, I highly recommended doing so. I am looking forward to seeing who shows up to see these two (slightly different) groups!UPDATE: Rachel and I had a great time at the show--the Black Kids were a blast. Both the Mates and BK's sets are posted on NPR. My favorite part was the audience--young and old alike were dancing and singing along.
